Meet Dr. Shany Park

Dr. Shany Park received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Harvard University with honors. After graduation, she pursued specialized postdoctoral training and received a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Columbia University. She believes in continuing her education and keeps up with current advancement in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. She is currently teaching at Columbia University as an Assistant Clinical Professor, and at Northwell Medical Center as an attending.

Dr. Park is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, Harvard Society for Advancement of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Society.

Dr. Park is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an honor earned by less than a third of practicing orthodontists. This status is achieved only after the successful completion of a clinical examination, after attaining a board eligible status. ABO Board Certification is a voluntary credential that represents an orthodontist’s personal and public commitment to the standards of specialty practice and lifelong learning.

Office Manager

Nicole’s journey at NYBraces started when she was just 16! She graduated from SUNY Old Westbury with a bachelor’s in business administration and her hard work has made her our office manager. Not only does she manage the office, Nicole is also a Licensed Real Estate Agent. Whether you have a question about your Insurance or Real Estate she will help you!

Orthodontic Assistant

Dennise joined our NYBRACES family back in 2020 and is currently attending Queens College. She is very hard working and has become an amazing team leader. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her at the tennis court!

Melissa

Orthodontic Assistant

Melissa started her dental career at BOCES Technical School. She joined our practice hoping to gain some hands-on experience in the dental field and quickly fell in love with orthodontics. She makes sure all of our instruments are sterilized, packed, and ready to use. If she’s not in the office, you can catch her shopping till she drops.

Vanessa

Orthodontic Assistant

Vanessa recently became a part of our NYBraces team. She is originally from Peru and studied PEELL Dental Assistant at BOCES. She is very happy and grateful to be part of this team. Melissa loves being able to help others and getting patients to have the smile they want and deserve. In her free time, she loves to be with her family, and friends and listen to music.
